This internship would include several interns working in collaboration to create online content for real businesses in the Upstate SC area. Potential intern positions are Copywriter, Photographer / Videographer, and a Strategist / Project Manager (open to others not listed here like a graphic designer, etc). They will work together to identify 3-5 small businesses who could benefit from increasing their online presence. After identifying these businesses, they will meet with them and work on a pitch to present to them. Each week they will meet with Allie Walker, the owner of The Social Walker Agency, to go over strategy and content creation for the selected businesses. They will be responsible for creating images, graphics, blog content as outlined in the pitches. At the end of the set term, the goal would be for these businesses to book a paid package to continue working with the interns on paid level.

Projected Schedule

  • Week 3 - Reaching out to the businesses to see who would be interested in a sit down and

    • Ask them what THEY want to see, but also show them the gaps we found

  • Week 4 - Official presentation to the business of the online strategy

    • Building an analytic tracker for their specific business

  • Week 5 - Begin to Shoot & Schedule

Description of Roles

Strategist / Project Manager

This person would be responsible for maintaining client relationships, ensuring client goals are remaining the focus of the content being produced. They will make sure all pieces of content are organized and on time. During the on-site shoots, they will be focused on making sure we’re getting the content we need. This person will also maintain analytics and review what’s working and what isn’t and guide how we need to adjust moving forward.

Photo / Video

This person or team will be responsible for capturing any and all content needed for our clients. From full length and short 1 minute videos, to still images, you will be bringing the strategic plan to life!

Copywriter

This person is the written voice for each of our clients and is responsible for making sure that we are getting content that can be written about in matching with our strategic plan. Learning the voices of each client will be a key role for you, allowing you to stretch your writing legs! There will be long (300+ words) and short form writing done by this role.
